This is a sock set for the gorgeous Barn Door Socks designed by Emma of Bloom & Create! These adorable socks feature colorwork chickens pecking their way around the cuffs, and an ultra-snuggly broken rib texture through the leg and foot of the socks. You’ll receive a 100g skein of our Chimney colorway and a 20g mini-skein of our Woodstove colorway, both on our ultra-squishy Swift base. The pattern is available for purchase from Emma on both Ravelry and Etsy, links are at the bottom of this description. Please note that Emma’s beautiful photos have filters applied for an extra warm and cozy atmosphere, the yarn photo is accurate for the color of what you will receive.

We always wash our saturated colorways like Chimney with wool wash and alternating hot and cool water until they runs clear in order to get any excess dye out, but as water hardness and choice of wool wash or detergent can cause dye bleeding, we strongly recommend gently rinsing your skein of Chimney in cool water and your preferred wool wash before beginning your socks to prevent any bleeding between colors on your finished project. Letting your project sit in water or wool wash for an extended period of time can also cause bleeding. (Were you too excited about this sock pattern and yarn to read this far down? We totally understand! This info will also be included on a card in your package.)

Our Swift base is a plump 2-ply, soft yet strong, and is perfect for both garments and accessories. It makes for particularly squishy socks!

As this is a hand-dyed yarn, there are no dye-lots and skeins may vary slightly. Alternating skeins is recommended. While this yarn base is superwash and will not felt if it accidentally finds its way into the washing machine, hand-washing your hand-knits and laying them flat to dry will ensure you can enjoy them for a long time to come.
