Clove is a gorgeous and highly tonal colorway, with a base that swirls together mauve-toned browns with hints of warmer browns. It's then delicately speckled with black for a beautiful, dimensional colorway.

Our Hummingbird base is a 50/50 blend of superwash merino wool and silk. The silk gives this yarn a beautiful drape and a luminous sheen. Hummingbird is perfect for airy lace shawls, breezy tanks and tees, and body-skimming loungewear.

As this is a hand-dyed yarn, there are no dye-lots and skeins may vary slightly. Alternating skeins is recommended. While the wool in this yarn base is superwash and will not felt if it accidentally finds its way into the washing machine, since silk doesn’t have the same elasticity as wool, we recommend hand-washing this luxury base in cool water, gently rolling out any excess moisture in a towel, and laying flat to dry.
